Position Purpose
Responsible as Team Leader over dayshift Patient Access Representatives in Central Scheduling. Coordinates daily activities providing guidance and direction to the team to ensure that the department goals and achieved efficiently and effectively. Works with manager to coordinate and direct the activities on a daily basis. Team Leaders are responsible for maintaining harmony and team spirit within the team, the Admissions Department, and all other departments.
What you will do
Monitoring productivity and performance of Access Center Representatives for appointments, prior authorizations and outreach
Schedule and register patient prior to appointments
Inbound and outbound calls to schedule patient appointments
Responsible for daily assignments/workflow
Responsible for assisting with training/onboarding of new hires
Interview all patients to obtain demographic and financial information, inputs data into SMS system. Oversees completion of all Inpatient/Observation admissions for all ED patients as well as urgent and booked patients
Coordinate the daily team activities to ensure appropriate utilization of staff
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology
Medical Office, hospital or physicians billing experience
Three to five (3-5) years admitting/registration experience required
Position Highlights and Benefits
