Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Execution & Floor Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day outbound activities including picking, packing, consolidation, and dispatch.
  • Allocate tasks and priorities to outbound associates in line with daily plans.
  • Actively participate in outbound operations as required to meet volume demands.
  • Ensure outbound processes are followed correctly and consistently.

Performance & Quality Support

  • Monitor team performance against productivity and accuracy targets.
  • Identify issues impacting outbound flow and escalate to the Outbound Supervisor where required.
  • Support error reduction through real-time feedback and corrective guidance.
  • Ensure outbound areas remain organised, safe, and compliant with site standards.

Coaching & Team Support

  • Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance to outbound associates.
  • Support training of new starters and temporary staff.
  • Act as the first point of contact for operational questions or minor issues on shift.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive working environment.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate daily priorities, changes, and updates to the outbound team.
  • Liaise with the Outbound Supervisor regarding progress, risks, and resourcing needs.
  • Support coordination with customer service, transport, and inventory teams as needed.

General

  • Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience in outbound warehouse operations, preferably in e-commerce fulfilment.
  • Previous experience as a team lead, senior operative, or informal lead.
  • Strong operational knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead by example.
  • Forklift or MHE experience desirable (site-dependent).
  • Ability to work in a multi shift schedule with potential weekend shifts as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum four years related experience.
  • Minimum three years industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year supervisory and/or lead experience required
