Job Description

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Team Lead - MVA Subassembly - G2 at our new location at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC.

The rate for this position is $23.77 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00AM until 4:00PM and Friday from 7:00AM until 11:00AM.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Team Lead partners closely with the Supervisor to drive results across key performance metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. The Team Lead provides day-to-day leadership by promoting teamwork, training and coaching employees, supporting problem resolution, and ensuring standards are consistently upheld to enable strong team performance.

  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure compliance with safety, quality, production, and 5S expectations.
  • Maintain high levels of quality within assigned functional areas and promote a culture of quality.
  • Train, instruct, and support employees to meet production goals and follow standard procedures.
  • Deliver daily tactical oversight to align employees with production targets and business priorities.
  • Lead Tier 1 meetings as needed to communicate goals, progress, and results.
  • Utilize and maintain familiarity with systems such as DMM, ENOVIA, Turnback, Change Notice, Vista, and AS400.
  • Communicate issues to the Supervisor proactively and support timely resolution.
  • Lead by example to motivate the team, foster a positive work environment, and address conflicts effectively.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years of switchgear assembly manufacturing experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future corporate sponsorship.
  • No relocation assistance provided; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC. Active‑duty military service members are exempt from the geographic requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of leadership experience managing people or team projects.
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent credential.
  • Experience using DMM, ENOVIA, Turnback, and Change Notice systems.

Position Criteria:

  • Basic computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use additional systems, including DMM, ENOVIA, Turnback, Change Notice, Vista, and AS400.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
  • Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
  • Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties
