Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant – Team Lead to join our small, close-knit clinic team in Zionsville. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaboration, takes initiative, and is comfortable supporting both clinical and front office functions when needed.

  • Medical Assistant – Team Lead
  • Location: 6866 West Stonegate Dr, Suite 104 Zionsville, IN 46077
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends/No holidays
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience required
  • Current Medical Assistant certification required
  • Strong teamwork mindset and willingness to cross-train
  • Patient Volume:15–25 patients roomed per day
  • Team Size: 2 Medical Assistants

Responsibilities

  • Perform standard patient rooming duties
  • Assist with Point-of-Care Testing (POCT)
  • Prepare patients and documentation for virtual visits
  • Manage supply ordering and inventory
  • Serve as Safety Coordinator for the clinic
  • Support front desk operations as needed
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Provides functional guidance to support staff and performs the duties of a medical assistant in accordance with organization standards. Provides coordination of administrative services to ensure smooth operation. May coordinate scheduling, training, and inventory duties. May be responsible for inpatient and outpatient consult activities within assigned location. May perform computerized physician order entry, only if directed by assigned physician.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires graduation from a Medical Assistant program and/or certification from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).
  • AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • 2 years' experience as an MA II or III is required.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
  • Requires ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills.
