Job Title: Cleaner - Lead Hand

Location: Victoria, BC

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform cleaning duties and ensure facilities are cleaned to the best of the team’s ability
• Lead and coordinate the work of cleaners on shift
• Follow pre-set policies, guidelines, and rules to maintain a safe working environment.
• Inspect sites to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
• Recommend and communicate to Supervisors to arrange for additional services as necessary
• Training new cleaning staff
• Provide excellent customer service to represent Alpine in professional manners.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as: auto scrubbers, carpet cleaners, high dusting equipment, Etc.
• Driving a tractor to haul garbage away
• Enhanced cleaning as per work orders when requested
• Additional tasks assigned by Manager

You have:

• A minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience in a commercial setting required
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License
• Experience operating a Tractor is considered an asset
• Experience operating an auto scrubber, carpet cleaner, and high dusting equipment is considered a strong asset, but not required
• Motivation and a willingness to work and learn
• Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift
• Ability to take initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine
• Must be able to pass a background check
