Your Opportunity:
Taylor Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to support our production operations. In this role, you will help lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities, support equipment reliability, and work closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, coaching others, and helping improve uptime, productivity, and overall maintenance performance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
  • Assign work orders, prioritize maintenance tasks, and monitor completion status.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment issues.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are completed as scheduled.
  • Support equipment reliability and minimize downtime through effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Provide daily direction and support to maintenance employees.
  • Coach, train, and mentor maintenance team members on technical skills, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history documentation.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support business objectives.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate parts procurement as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on increasing equipment uptime, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct shift meetings, communicate departmental goals, and provide status updates to management.
  • Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Assist in scheduling labor resources, overtime, and maintenance coverage.
  • Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with employee performance evaluations and development plans.
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues to Maintenance Management when appropriate.
  • Ensure work is completed according to established quality and safety standards.

Your Shift: 1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

You Must Have:

  • 3+ of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard concepts, practices, and procedures within industrial maintenance.

Requirements Within This Position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Technical degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or lead technician experience.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience monitoring maintenance performance metrics such as equipment uptime, preventive maintenance completion, response time, downtime reduction, cost control, team productivity, and training effectiveness.
