Job Purpose:

• Lead & drives functional excellence in engineering solution and provide knowledge base, services and technical understanding for the “Hardware Engineering” applications following the industry standards and its regulatory requirements.
• Manage all aspect of project life cycle from pre-sale proposal support and Engineering support as per the scope.
• You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.
• Can work independent and handle technical tasks and activity on HW and any 3rd party interfaces as applicable in the projects.
• This may include travel for short or long-term work assignments within India or overseas for customer meetings, project training and site support.
• Organize and schedule job tasks with your team.
• Provide leadership to the assigned team and Improve Productivity.
• Manage team regarding people development and issue resolution
• Manage Global partner including the regional solution teams and Global Programme Managers

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver and build the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction
• Take on challenging tasks and be a solution provider to internal and external partners & industry team on solutions
• Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team's capabilities
• Lead technical implementation in whole life-cycle of project delivery
• Collaborate and work with Technical Lead / SMEs to clarify technical issues and share workloads
• Present solution to the partners and coordinate development tasks with team members
• Work with PM for scope management, deliver execution plans & monitor the execution with good quality, cost effectiveness, customer acceptance and customer satisfaction
• Work with Global Programme Managers and PM for WBS development
• Develop quality process and ensure strict adherence
• Work closely & guide the proposal team for support on estimation and proposal delivery
• Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of SSB standard.
• Promote project cost reduction through continuous process improvement, by applying and maximizing reusable engineering standards in project delivery
• Drive business growth & strengthen foot print of GEBS as technology CoE
• Work for the optimization of procurement processes and identify process improvement opportunities
• Support in AOP planning
• Ensure that all audits (internal/external) are adequately documented and significant risk are dealt in a timely manner
• Engage with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for increased engagement, seek feedback on deliverables and to improve overall engagement
• Ensures deliverables provided by the GEBS are delivered within exceptional good quality on time and on budget with high levels of Internal Customer Satisfaction.
• Manage utilization of all resources and ensure accurate capacity planning.
• Responsible to manage resources appropriately and to assign right skills to the work.

Job Related Competencies:

• Good understanding on AutoCAD, ACAD-Electrical / ePlan / CEWS / CREO / RA Advisor.
• Good understanding on DOL, S/D, VFDs, Soft-Starters, Servo, PLC, MCC & Safety System Designing.
• Good Knowledge of Product Selections and their applications.
• Good understanding of design calculations like Heat, Load, cable sizing, Cable Duct etc.
• Good understanding of mechanical design of different types of enclosures (GA/Layout design).
• Good understanding of developing a control circuit based on the process and application requirements.
• Must be aware of electrical design standards e.g. IEC, JIC/NEMA, UL, ATEX, CE codes etc.
• High level of expertise in RA products/Hardware such as Control Logix, VFDs etc.
• Good understanding of Server Client architecture.
• Experience with at least one third-party PLC systems migration.
• Knowledge of IT software platforms, prior hands-on experience with migrations, awareness of latest updates on upcoming automation technologies (Cloud solutions, IIoT) would be an added advantage either
• Conduct research into systems issues and products
• Record of managing multiple and complex customer projects and a good understanding about Project Management.
• Major Commissioning Know-How experience and troubleshooting methods.
• Is flexible / responsive to manage global needs & expectations about GEBS engineering deliveries
• Manage team performance to develop team capability and motivate the team. Create developmental plans for any identified gaps.
• Support best practice sharing and knowledge transfer among teams to improve competency of whole team.
• Assess and develop competency and capabilities among the team. Encourage multi-skilling within the team to ensure better use.
