This position is based at the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence in Pune, India. The role is responsible for leading a team that manages global Trade Compliance activities, including Restricted Party Screening (RPS), HS Classification, GTM audits, and GTM reporting. The incumbent will also drive the standardization, continuous improvement & transformation of these processes in close alignment with global process owners to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.
a) Lead, mentor, and develop trade compliance team
b) Lead Global Trade Management operations and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
c) Manage Restricted Party Screening (RPS) activities and resolve escalations.
d) Oversee HS Classification and product compliance requirements.
e) Plan & execute trade compliance audits and manage corrective actions.
f) Accountable for compliance dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
g) Drive process excellence, automation, and standardization initiatives.
h) Conduct Risk assessment and transactional audits. Flagging process or documentation gaps & partnering to ensure timely closure.
i) Partner and support development of global trade policies with key policy stakeholders
j) Establish formal engagement and provide leadership to deploy GTM trade standards across the globe
k) Deploy Eaton's CI framework for key GTM processes and improve engagement and standardization metrics for the GTM team.
Masters, preferably in International Business
10+ years of overall experience and 4+ years in Trade Compliance & in global environments is a must.
1. Global Trade Management operations in MNCs
2. In depth knowledge of customs, import and export, FTAs, customs valuation
