Job Description

What you will be responsible for:

  • Lead, schedule, and direct a team of Maintenance Electricians in preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, GMPs, food safety requirements, and ISO standards.
  • Provide training, technical guidance, and day-to-day leadership to maintenance team members.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance events, projects, contractor support, and work order completion to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, automation, HVAC, and facility systems, including motors, drives, transformers, generators, controllers, and low-voltage systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve preventive maintenance programs, procedures, and equipment documentation using the CMMS.
  • Utilize reliability and TPM practices such as vibration analysis, thermography, air surveys, oil analysis, and root cause analysis to improve equipment performance.
  • Perform equipment inspections, identify potential issues before failures occur, and recommend corrective actions and equipment improvements.
  • Coordinate repairs, rebuilds, and inventory management of critical spare parts, motors, rolls, and other maintenance assets.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and equipment modifications.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Scheduling, and other departments to prioritize work, improve processes, and achieve operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and equipment history while ensuring work areas and tools remain clean, organized, and secure.
  • Support installation, relocation, and commissioning of new equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications for the role:

  • 2 - 4 years manufacturing experience on same or similar equipment.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, Quality ISO/SQF, Continuous Improvement a plus.
  • Ability to manage moderately complex issues and problems.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical processes and related manufacturing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations).
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

The schedule for the position is Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2 PM with flexibility to support business and production needs.
