Bring your energy to Aggreko as Team Lead Civil / Structural for our IPP Solutions team based in Perth. You’ll be the senior technical authority responsible for the civil and structural engineering integrity, safety, performance, and lifecycle value of IPP assets across development, delivery, and operations. The role provides expert leadership across project development, detailed design, construction, and asset operation phases, ensuring that civil and structural solutions are safe, compliant, constructible, cost‑effective, and bankable. It plays a critical role in technical risk management, engineering assurance, and supporting investment confidence for long‑term power assets.

What you’ll do as Team Lead Civil / Structural:

  • Act as the lead civil / structural engineering authority across the IPP portfolio, providing technical sign‑off on designs, calculations, specifications, and material design changes and ensuring alignment with relevant codes, standards, site conditions, and lifecycle performance requirements

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce civil and structural design standards, specifications, and assurance frameworks.

  • Provide expert technical input during project development, including concept and reference design development, site selection and site constraint assessments, geotechnical, hydrological and flood risk considerations and civil scope definitions and cost drivers.

  • Support FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

  • Participate in EPC tender evaluations, technical clarifications, and contract negotiations from a civil / structural perspective.

  • Provide specialist support to operating assets for civil and structural integrity issues including leading investigations into structural or civil performance issues, failures, or degradation

  • Act as the senior technical interface with internal teams (development, delivery, operations, commercial) and external stakeholders (engineering consultants, EPX contractors and civil contractors, OEMs where civil interfaces apply).

You are:

  • Tertiary qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering at a Bachelors degree or higher, with Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent highly desirable

  • Highly experienced with a minimum 12 – 15 years’ experience in civil / structural engineering for large-scale infrastructure or power generation assets.

  • Proven across renewable and / or thermal generation projects within an IPP, EPC, or owner’s engineer environment.

  • Ideally experienced across multiple generation asset types (e.g. solar, wind, batteries, thermal, hydro).

  • Fully capable of acting as a technical authority on complex projects.

  • Fully conversant with relevant Australian Standards, Codes, and construction practices.

  • Ideally had exposure to lender technical due diligence and independent engineer reviews and supporting projects / assets through both construction and operational phases.
