Youth Act Team Lead Position Summary:
The Youth Assertive Community Treatment (Youth ACT) Team Lead provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for a multidisciplinary team delivering high-fidelity, community-based behavioral health services to youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).
Youth Act Team Lead Job Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for the multidisciplinary Youth ACT team, ensuring high-fidelity services aligned with OMH standards and program requirements.
• Supervise, coach, and support staff through clinical oversight, training, performance monitoring, and professional development while ensuring timely, accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee intake, referrals, admissions, treatment planning, care coordination, transitions, discharge planning, and quality improvement activities to ensure effective, person-centered service delivery.
• Provide direct clinical consultation, crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning while supporting 24/7 on-call coverage and addressing the complex needs of youth and families.
• Build collaborative relationships with youth, families, community partners, and referral sources to promote engagement, continuity of care, and positive treatment outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to agency policies, ethical and legal standards, confidentiality requirements, incident reporting protocols, and organizational values while performing other duties as assigned.
Youth Act Team Lead Qualifications:
• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field, with current New York State licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist).
• Three to five years of clinical experience serving children, adolescents, and families with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), trauma, co-occurring disorders, and complex behavioral health needs; supervisory or community-based behavioral health leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, care coordination, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
• Knowledge of OMH regulations, Medicaid documentation, evidence-based community treatment models (e.g., Youth ACT, ACT, CFTSS, HCBS), and commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, family-driven, and youth-guided care.
• Current CANS-NY certification (or ability to obtain), completion of required OMH Youth ACT trainings, and proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office 365, and other documentation systems.
• Valid New York State driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the community while working independently and collaboratively in community and crisis settings.
Salary: $85,000 Annually
