Job Description

For our Structured Finance department in Vaduz, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Team Head Mortgages outside Liechtenstein & Switzerland 100% (f/m/d)

In this role, you will lead a specialist team and oversee a portfolio of international property financings across Austria, Germany, France and the UK.

Combining leadership with direct involvement in complex financing transactions, you will contribute to the continued development of our cross-border mortgage business within a demanding private banking environment.

Expertise in complementary financing solutions, particularly Lombard lending, will be an asset in delivering holistic and sophisticated financing solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop a small specialist team with responsibility for mortgage financings outside Liechtenstein and Switzerland
  • Take an active role in the structuring, assessment and execution of property financings in Austria, Germany, France and the UK
  • Assess financing needs in a broader context and contribute to holistic lending solutions, including the consideration of Lombard lending structures where appropriate
  • Review, develop and approve credit applications, financing proposals, loan documentation and collateral structures in line with internal standards as well as legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the ongoing monitoring and quality management of the mortgage portfolio, including renewals, reviews and the handling of more complex or sensitive case
  • Serve as a key contact for relationship managers active in the assigned markets as well as other internal and external stakeholders (e.g. credit competence levels, Legal & Compliance, lawyers, notaries and valuation experts)
  • Contribute to the further development of processes, standards and market practices for the international mortgage business within the credit department of LGT

Requirements

  • Degree in banking, finance, business administration, law or a comparable qualification; additional credit- or finance-related training is an advantage
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the credit business, ideally with a focus on international mortgage financings
  • Leadership experience or proven ability to guide and develop others in a small, expert-driven team environment
  • Sound knowledge of one or more of the following property financing markets: Austria, Germany, France and the UK; cross-border financing experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to assess complex financing structures and risks in a pragmatic and solution-oriented way
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English; French is an advantage
  • High level of personal accountability, precision and collaboration; know-how in Lombard lending solutions and experience with Avaloq or similar banking systems are beneficial
