YOUR ROLE

As part of the continued growth of our Time Critical Services business, CEVA Logistics is looking for an experienced Time Critical Road Transport Operations Team Coordinator to lead and develop a high-performing operational team across Romania.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 7 to 11 Time Critical professionals, including Dispatchers, Planning Operators, Tracking Operators, Customer Desk Specialists, and Carrier Management Dispatchers. You will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, business growth, and profitability while ensuring the highest service standards in a fast-paced and demanding transport environment.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Road Time Critical Transport team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the sustainable development and growth of the Road Time Critical Services department through operational excellence and customer-centric solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of Dispatchers, Planning Operators, Tracking Operators, Customer Desk Specialists and Carrier Management Dispatchers.
  • Drive team focuses on building productive relationships with customers, carriers and suppliers to improve operational performance and profitability.
  • Monitor and improve department productivity, service quality and profitability.
  • Participate in customer tenders, quotations and business development initiatives, supporting the growth strategy of the Time Critical business.
  • Ensure all transport operations are executed in accordance with company standards, procedures and agreed service levels.
  • Oversee the management of urgent and critical transport operations, ensuring rapid response to operational challenges and customer escalations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, transport providers and strategic partners.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and reporting, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Organize departmental activities, workload distribution and resource planning.
  • Handle complex operational cases and provide guidance to the team during critical situations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching and development of team members.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international transportation, freight forwarding or logistics operations, preferably within Road Time Critical / Express Transport.
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, Coordinator or Operations Manager.
  • Strong understanding of transport planning, dispatching, shipment monitoring and carrier management processes.
  • Good knowledge of the European transportation market, networks and customer expectations (automotive, aerospace, e-commerce).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent decision-making, prioritization and delegation skills.
  • Strategic mindset and proactive approach to business challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong customer orientation and relationship management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Fluent English and Romanian; German and French are considered an advantage.
  • Flexible, resilient, solution-oriented and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
