The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services (MHSADS) is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Team Coordinator for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Case Management. This full-time position is a member of the Case Management Program and will provide supervision to a cadre of case managers who primarily support individuals with mental health conditions and/or who are dually diagnosed with substance use disorders. In addition to supervision, the Team Coordinator also provides direct service, represents MHSADS on County initiatives, and actively collaborates with external providers. Targeted Case Management is a community-based service occurring within the individual’s natural settings including their home.

The ideal candidate will possess effective oral and written communication skills and proficiency in electronic health records and operating software programs. Work schedule requires the flexibility to include evening and occasional weekend hours. Office locations include the Leesburg and Eastern Loudoun Centers.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Master’s degree in a field eligible for professional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or other licensure where permitted, and two (2) years professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis.
Preferred:
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment background checks to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification)
Successful completion of DBHDS case management modules, and successful completion of Department orientation and training requirements. Must have a valid driver’s license.
