Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

The Team Captain, RN is the nurse responsible for the overall care of patients assigned to their team’s providers. This includes risk assessment and coordination of care for high-risk patients, tracking quality metrics, delivering elements of patient education, and serving as the principal point of contact for patients and other care providers outside of face-to-face appointments. The Team Captain supervises and directs the activities of team nurses and support staff. Models Eskenazi Health Values. Actively supports the Eskenazi Health Mission.
This OBGYN Clinic RN will work in clinics with GYN Sub-specialties of Pelvic Pain, Breast Care and well as routine OBGYN care. This candidate will work the EPIC In Baskets, triaging patient calls, scheduling both internal and external referrals and assisting providers.
Excellent customer service is paramount to this position as well as strong leadership skills. Experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred but not required. Proficiency in lab draws and the ability to be flexible are needed for this position. A dedication to teamwork and excellent communication skills are required.
• Registered Nurse required; with current license to practice in the State of Indiana
• Four years progressive professional experience as a nurse required
• One-year previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Must complete Eskenazi Institute for Leadership training within 18 months of assignment.
• Fully proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of emotional intelligence; self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.
• High levels of accuracy, productivity and good judgment required in developing and maintaining a positive public and community image.
