Join the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) and play a key role in supporting our Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) team. This is your chance to contribute to work that matters – helping make New Zealand safe from crime and a good place to do business.

About the role

As Team Administrator, you’ll support the AML/CFT group, ensuring smooth operations and enabling the successful delivery of our work programme. You’ll manage meeting logistics, draft agendas, take minutes, coordinate attendees, and provide essential support to the Director and wider team.

This is a varied role where your organisational skills and attention to detail will matter. You’ll also book and coordinate travel, handle financial administration tasks (such as processing invoices and purchase orders), and will assist with planning and reporting processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in administration and coordination roles
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work within tight timeframes
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Experience in financial administration (invoices, purchase orders)
  • Experience with booking and coordinating corporate travel
  • A proactive, team-focused approach and willingness to help across the office
