The Department of Mathematics at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a part-time Lecturer position in Actuarial Mathematics to support the Minor in Actuarial Science, jointly offered with the Department of Economics.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate actuarial courses (e.g., interest theory, life contingencies, probability, and risk models) and mentor students preparing for professional actuarial examinations.
Applicants should have university-level teaching experience, strong familiarity with the actuarial examination system (SOA/CAS), and preferably hold a PhD in Actuarial Mathematics or a closely related field.
Candidates with a Master’s degree and substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
The appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2026.
Application reviews will begin immediately and proceed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
