
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has two openings for Teaching Associate/Instructional Assistant starting Fall term 2026.
The appointee will assist in the teaching of courses and tutorials, laboratory instruction and grading of students' work. They will help with the preparation of teaching materials and assist in academic counseling for students. Experience in organizing student activities and knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning would be advantages. The appointee will also be required to assist in handling and coordinating duties related to the teaching programs of the Department.
Applicants for Teaching Associate should have a master's degree in computer science or relevant disciplines. A higher degree and teaching experience would be advantageous.
Applicants for Instructional Assistant should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant disciplines. Postgraduate training would be a plus. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
**For holders of a bachelor's degree applying for the position of Instructional Assistant, exceptional consideration for admission to the part-time MPhil in Computer Science and Engineering program will be given to successful applicants who are also interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in computer science and engineering provided that he/she satisfies the minimum admission requirements of our postgraduate degree programs.**
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
