
About This Opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology/School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is seeking applications from current Casual Academic employees within the faculty who are interested in continuing, variable intensity academic employment at the University.
These permanent Teaching Associate (TA) positions will have a teaching intensive focus and will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching practice within the faculty. This will include administrative tasks such as managing a tutor team, training, discipline currency and development activities. As a Teaching Associate, you will utilise your expertise in curricula, pedagogy, and assessment to advance student learning, enhance student engagement and support the student experience.
These are continuing, part-time (50% FTE) academic positions
These Teaching Associate opportunities will be offered as Associate Lecturer (Academic Level A, Step 6) appointments commensurate with the casual level to which you are working at the time of application.
The greater benefits of the Teaching Associate role include: regular salary increases, recognition of prior service with other Australian universities, up to 26 weeks of paid parental leave, 17% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading.

About You
These opportunities are open to any Casual Academic employee who has undertaken teaching allocation of at least 0.2 FTE, measured over teaching weeks, in an Organisational Unit/s, in at least four (4) semesters in the last four (4) years. You are invited to apply for a Teaching Associate appointment in your Organisational Unit, subject to meeting the operational requirements.
