
Location: Outwood Primary Academy Littleworth Grange (Lundwood, Barnsley)
Working Pattern: 28.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term time only, plus 2 days)
Teaching Assistant hours: 16 hours
Higher Level Teaching Assistant hours: 12.5 hours
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role
Outwood Primary Academy Littleworth Grange is seeking applications from committed individuals to join our team in a dual-role as a Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a unique and rewarding opportunity where you will work collaboratively with teaching staff across the whole planning cycle and play an active role in classroom management.
Your typical daily routine will be split into two core areas:
Morning Sessions (Teaching Assistant): Supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English under the direction of class teaching staff.
Afternoon Sessions (HLTA): Taking a lead in the classroom by covering the Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time of class teachers.

Key Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is essential.
Excellent curriculum knowledge.
The creative flair and inspirational ability to make learning purposeful and relevant—helping our children raise their aspirations and believe in their own abilities to succeed and shine.
Strong teamwork skills, with effective communication and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, whilst operating in line with our safeguarding procedures.
