Position
The TAswill work closely withtheinstructor torespond to students’ needs and concerns throughout the course, and to assess students’ work.
Responsibilities:
Attend all lectures.
Attend andparticipatein weekly 1-hr course meetingswithteaching team
Discuss the topics and materials for course with instructor.
Complete course readingsin order toparticipatein weeklylectures
Respond tostudents’ questions (including emails)pertaining tocourse materialand assessment
Correct student assessments ina timelyfashion in collaboration with instructor
Accountable for professional,timely,and confidential use andaccurateentry of student marks in theFSCI 500Grade Book in myCourses.
Qualifications
Strongcandidateswill haveexperience with engaging the public with science. These experiences may includecrafting science communication texts or podcasts,leadingorfacilitatingscienceoutreach activities,policy interventions,developingscience-related curriculaor other related activities
Completed undergraduate degree in science, education, arts,orotherrelated field.
Must havestrongorganizational skills and excellent communication skills
