  • Hours: 30.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Grange Community Primary School are seeking a caring, passionate, and dedicated KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and inspiring children in Key Stage 1or 2, helping them to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the National curriculum
  • fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential
  • providing support for pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development both in and out of the classroom
  • assisting with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to monitor children’s progress and attainment
  • promoting independence, resilience, and confidence through high-quality learning experiences
  • working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to meet each child’s individual needs
  • upholding the school’s values, behaviour expectations, and safeguarding policies at all times.

You will have:

  • a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 1 or 2
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • a positive team player with the ability to take initiative and adapt when needed
  • a patient, kind, and flexible approach to working with children
  • a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable
  • experience working within a primary school or KS1 setting is advantageous but not essential.
