
Reports to: Lead Teacher
The Teacher’s Assistant works in accordance with KYUMH agency policies and procedures to provide assistant administrative and educational services in the program classrooms. The Teacher’s Assistant will support the Lead and Secondary Teachers in either classroom as assigned, assisting clients with admission and discharge assessments, 1:1 assistance in classroom with clients as needed, and additional classroom and administrative tasks as assigned.
The Teachers Assistant models effective communication practices that uphold KYUMH’s Trauma-Informed Care culture and promote a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for youth and staff. This is a Spanish/English- bilingual position.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours consistent with school operational hours or 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for non-school days.

We are a Christian service agency annually serving over 900 youth from all counties in Kentucky with histories of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family trauma. We have two campuses in Nicholasville, KY and Owensboro, KY.
