Job Description

Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School, located in Dundalk, Maryland, is seeking a qualified, full-time Teacher’s Aide for Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 academic school year. The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional support.

Essential Functions

  • Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Prepare and organize age-appropriate materials and resources for students.
  • Assist students with technology or other audio equipment.
  • Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
  • Ensures that arrival and dismissal procedures are conducted in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration.
  • Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities as directed by administration.
  • Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with school community.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma and 90-hour childcare certification.
  • Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.
  • Must have a commitment to Catholic School education.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred.

Pay Rate: $18.50, Hourly
