Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) - Bilingual Spanish
Provide services to students in reading, writing, mathematics, emotional/behavioral skills, social skills, functional and adaptive skills and/or vocational skills for up to 59% of a student’s day. Service delivery models ranging from small-group instruction to co-teaching in the general education classroom provide direct skills instruction in the student’s area of need. Parents and staff develop an IEP for each student based on their learning needs.

Work is performed in a standard classroom environment which requires occasionally lifting such articles as file boxes or heavier material with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and heavy phone usage.

Candidate(s) selected for this role will be required to provide a passing proficient score on the ACTFL language assessment through www.languagetesting.com The initial testing fees range from $70 -$140 associated with the testing and results; payable by the candidate(s).
