Job Description

Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Catholic PreK2–8 school in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a passionate and child-centered Spanish Teacher to serve students in Grades 4–8. Rooted in the Catholic faith, our school is committed to forming the whole child academically, socially, and spiritually while serving a diverse community of learners. The ideal candidate will foster a love of language and inspire students to appreciate world cultures while developing strong skills in understanding and communicating in the Spanish language.

Essential Functions

• Develop and deliver engaging Spanish lessons that align with curriculum standards set by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
• Create an instructional environment that is conducive to learning.
• Maintain a balanced and accurate gradebook.
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Assess student understanding through a variety of formative and summative assessments.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• MSDE certification, or willingness to obtain certification, required
• Classroom teaching experience preferred
• Fluency in Spanish required

Pay Range: $48,000 – 75,000, Annualized
