
Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, is seeking a full-time Middle School Social Studies Teacher. This is a 10-month position that includes eligibility for benefits. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a nurturing and student-centered approach, and a commitment to supporting the growth and development of students. Candidates should also possess a background in Social Studies or a demonstrated passion for history and helping students develop an understanding of the past and its connection to the modern world. This position offers the opportunity to become part of a diverse, faith-based school community dedicated to academic excellence and character formation. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. . The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Essential Functions
Position Qualifications
Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary, middle, or high school
level.
Familiarity with a variety of technology tools to enrich and differentiate instruction.
Familiarity with the Catholic Church and a willingness to support and uphold a Catholic school environment that recognizes the dignity of every human being.
Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in History, Elementary education, or related field)
Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification within two years of start
date.
