TSA Riverview is a boutique Special Assistance School in Riverview, dedicated to supporting senior students in Years 10–12 who have experienced barriers to mainstream education. We offer a safe, inclusive, relationship‑focused environment grounded in trauma‑informed practice and positive education. Our mission is simple: help young people re‑engage, rebuild confidence, and create meaningful pathways beyond school.

The role:

We are seeking a passionate, adaptable Educator to join our growing campus. This role has become available due to a combination of Head of Campus coverage and continued enrolment growth.

You will design and deliver engaging, differentiated learning programs for senior students with complex needs—including trauma backgrounds, neurodiversity, and disrupted schooling. As part of our collaborative Wellness and Learning Team, you’ll contribute to a consistent, student‑centred approach that prioritises connection, regulation, and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs
• Use flexible, adaptive strategies to engage senior learners
• Monitor progress and contribute to personalised learning pathways

• Apply trauma‑informed approaches to behaviour, engagement, and relationships
• Create predictable, safe classroom environments that support regulation
• Prioritise connection and co‑regulation as foundations for learning

• Embed wellbeing strategies and emotional literacy into daily practice
• Use strengths‑based language to build confidence and identity
• Support students to develop independence, resilience, and post‑school readiness

• Work closely within the Wellness and Learning Support Team
• Contribute to case discussions, planning, and shared strategies

• Maintain accurate records to support NCCD requirements
• Document adjustments, supports, and progress
• Contribute to compliance processes within a Special Assistance School setting

Essential Requirements

You are an educator who builds strong relationships with young people, understands the impact of trauma on learning, uses inclusive, student‑centred practice with a:

• Current Queensland teacher registration (or eligibility)
• Experience with senior or disengaged learners
• Strong classroom practice with a relational and restorative approach

• Knowledge of trauma‑informed and positive education frameworks
• Understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive education
