The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is seeking Teachers at all career stages to join Tasmanian Government schools. Opportunities are available across District Schools, High Schools, Isolated Schools, our Hard-to-staff Schools and Support Schools, in a wide range of learning areas including:

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will need to:
demonstrate contemporary teaching skills, knowledge and experience within the Australian Curriculum
be recognised as an Australian qualified Teacher or completing your Education degree in 2026.
hold current provisional, f ull or specialist VET registration granted by the Teacher Registration Board of Tasmania as well as a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment/Volunteer) by February 2027.
