Job Description

St. Joseph School, Cockeysville is seeking an experienced Primary Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year This individual will serve as the faith-filled instructional leader for the classroom and will be responsible for all duties associated with the role of classroom teacher. Responsibilities include collaborative planning with the grade-level partner, grading, classroom management, and ongoing communication with families. Compensation will be determined based on experience and education.

Essential Functions

  • Implement the curriculum, including religion
  • Assess and grade student work, including the use of PowerSchool
  • Manage the classroom and fulfill all duties assigned to the position
  • Participate fully as a member of the faculty in all meetings and activities
  • Collaborate with school leadership and the broader faculty to create a positive school culture

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field
  • MSDE certification
  • Strong knowledge of technology use and integration
  • Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods and strategies, and curriculum differentiation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
