Help Upper Primary students become confident, capable users of English, developing the language and literacy skills they need for the next stage of their education.

Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science, established through a partnership with King's College School, Wimbledon and Nanjing Foreign Language School, is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Primary English to join our Bilingual Division from February 2027.

The successful candidate will teach English to Upper Primary students, developing strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking and listening while building students' confidence, accuracy and independence in using English.

This is an opportunity to work with motivated young learners in a bilingual school environment, helping students strengthen their English language proficiency, literacy skills and readiness for Secondary School.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this English teaching position, candidates should have:

• Degree in English, English Language, English Literature, Primary Education, or a closely related field
• Recognized teaching qualification, license or certification, such as UK QTS/PGCE or an equivalent US, Canadian or Australian teaching credential
• At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching English at Upper Primary level
• Strong understanding of Primary literacy and English language development
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
• Experience teaching within an international, bilingual, British or comparable Primary school environment
• Able to meet Chinese work-permit requirements
• Able to start in February 2027

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons for Upper Primary students
• Develop students' skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening
• Build students' vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and written communication
• Encourage confident and accurate use of English in both academic and everyday contexts
• Use assessment and feedback to monitor progress and respond to individual learning needs
• Inspire students to engage with books, stories, writing and the wider English language
• Contribute to the wider academic, pastoral and co-curricular life of the Bilingual Division

About Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science

Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science opened in 2018 through a partnership between Nanjing Foreign Language School and King's College School, Wimbledon, with the support of the Wuxi local government. Since opening with 750 students, the school has grown to a community of just under 2,000 students.
