Farlingaye High School are seeking a Teacher of Mathematics to teach mathematics across the age and ability range.

This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time teacher of mathematics. You will join a hardworking and friendly group of teachers whose aim is to allow students to experience the imagination, creativity and beauty inherent with mathematics.

We believe that every student should experience an enriched mathematical curriculum. This includes:

  • the study of mathematics beyond the standard curriculum
  • experiencing alternative and creative approaches to topics
  • making connections between aspects of mathematics usually met separately
  • the study of the history and development of some of the deepest ideas of mathematics.

We are proud of the way we work together as a team, sharing good practice and supporting each other. The department is a very stimulating and enjoyable place to work.

Farlingaye High School is a popular and successful school, located in Woodbridge, a pleasant market town situated on the River Deben in Suffolk and just 7 miles from Ipswich. We are a creative school with excellent resources, lovely students and great results. Our most recent Ofsted report graded us ‘Good’ with Outstanding areas.

We are part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Bungay High School, Holbrook Academy, Kesgrave High School, Castle East School, EAST SCITT and six primary schools: Aldeburgh, Easton, Leiston, Saxmundham, Wickham Market and Kyson whom we work closely with. We are committed to providing excellent staff opportunities through developing and promoting our staff and offering an excellent CPD and support programme for new staff. We are also extremely pleased to have launched our own teacher training provider: EAST SCITT. This allows us to award QTS and also QTS + PGCE Programmes within both Primary and Secondary schools.
