$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We are seeking outstanding educators to inspire and mentor the next generation of Electrical Trades students. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at Ultimo Campus.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive Electrical Trades experience and support students in developing practical, job ready skills. With experience delivering training in an adult learning environment, you will help students build their knowledge, gain valuable qualifications and achieve their career aspirations in the electrical industry.

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum of Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) and a commitment to maintain technical currency.
  • Hold a current Electrical Contractors Licence or Electrical Supervisor Certificate issued by NSW Fair Trading.
  • Have a minimum of five years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document ( here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
