Responsibilities:
Create an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere that facilitates bilingual instruction and learning.
Develop and implement lesson plans that provide dual-language instruction, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students.
Communicate learning objectives clearly and effectively in both Spanish and English, employing a variety of instructional groupings and methodologies.
Utilize technology and innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance bilingual learning experiences.
Assess student progress in language acquisition and academic subjects, maintaining detailed records and communicating progress to parents, guardians, and school administration.
Foster open communication with parents and guardians, creating strong partnerships to support students’ bilingual and academic development.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices in dual-language education, participating actively in school events, team meetings, and educational initiatives.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Education or related field, with a focus on bilingual education or Spanish language teaching preferred.
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
SEI Endorsement and certification appropriate for dual-language instruction in a kindergarten setting.
Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish and English, with prior experience in a bilingual or dual-language classroom setting highly desirable.
Commitment to fostering an environment of inclusion, diversity, and cultural sensitivity.
Salary: $46,700 to $80,904, dependent on educational background and experience. A competitive benefits package is provided.
