Title: Intervention Specialist
Reports To: Building Principal or designee
Terms of Employment: Salary and work year as established by the Board of Education and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Job Goal / Purpose
The Intervention Specialist provides specially designed instruction and support to students with disabilities in alignment with state standards and each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This role ensures equitable access to high-quality instruction through inclusive practices, collaboration with general education staff, implementation of positive behavior supports, and data-informed decision making to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

Performance Responsibilities
Instruction & Learning Environment
Create and maintain structured, supportive learning environments that promote engagement and independence.
Assessment & Data-Driven Instruction
Communicate student progress to families at designated reporting intervals.
Behavior Support
Collaborate with teams to support behavior intervention plans and student success.
Collaboration & Communication
Participate in intervention, evaluation, and IEP processes.
Professional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population of students, staff, families, and community members.
Evaluation
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy and the collective bargaining agreement, ensuring alignment with district goals and expectations.
