A real need exists across Arizona to bridge the gap between K-12 education and the bioscience and healthcare sector promoting the myriad of potential career opportunities for students, essential skills required for these careers and practical guidance on how to move into these dynamic fields. The Teacher-Industry Support Coordinator paves the way to support teachers to connect bioscience and healthcare career awareness and relevant classroom learning with professionals from the Educator Pro Connect platform and classroom resources leading to equitable student career awareness outcomes. This role will support teachers with the Exploring Pathways to Bioscience and Healthcare Careers (EPBHC) program activities, reportable events, teacher professional development, the use of the Educator Pro Connect platform and performance measures monitored for program implementation and reporting. The Teacher-Industry Support Coordinator supports teachers, at the agency level, to help improve student bioscience and healthcare career awareness and relevant classroom learning outcomes across the county and Arizona.
