Our Early Head Start programs are ready to hire Teacher I’s to join the team in our Early Education Services Department.
We are looking for compassionate, energetic, and dependable individuals who are committed to building a classroom of learning for children receiving services.
In this role, you will spend most of your time providing support to Teacher II in a fun, positive classroom setting providing a safe and secure environment to eight children. Play will guide your day as you create an energetic classroom filled with activities that meet the needs of children’s interests and differing skills. You will encourage responsibility, independence, and problem-solving through open-ended questions while maintaining a clean and organized classroom through the guidance of your Teacher II. Meal times are a regular routine that allows you to help facilitate a variety of self-help skills while ensuring accurate documentation of the CACFP meal program. QualificationsTo be considered you must have:
Spanish/English bilingual capabilities
Child Development Associates Credential or equivalent
1 year of related experiences
Associate degree in Early Childhood or related field with a minimum of 12 credits related to infant/toddler development OR unrelated Associate Degree with 120 hours of formal early education training covering ages 0-3 and 480 hours of professional experience in a 0-3 age group setting
A level one fingerprint clearance card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting

Demonstrate the center’s expectations for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.
Speak with children in a friendly, positive, courteous manner while listening to children with attention and respect to create a positive learning environment where routines are established through trust.
