Required Degree:
Doctoral degree with specialization in multicultural education, ESL/TESOL, or related field.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Successful K-12 public school classroom teaching experience (preference given to candidates with a minimum of three years)
Demonstrated potential for research productivity
Demonstrated ability/interest to partner with local schools
Knowledge of national trends in multicultural education and/or ESL/TESOL
Duties/Expectations:
Teaching
Teach courses related to multicultural education and/or multilingual education at the undergraduate level, and related courses at the masters level
Mentor undergraduate and masters students in research and teaching
Advise masters and doctoral degree candidates
Scholarship
Engage in high levels of research activity and publication
Citizenship
Demonstrate a pattern of leadership at the department, school, and university levels
Fulfill committee assignments and other citizenship activities inside the university, community, and profession
