Under the supervision of the Child Care Teacher the Child Care Teacher Assistant will assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved in the program. In addition, the Child Care Teacher Assistant will ensure that all areas of responsibilities of the job reflect the mission beliefs of the Old Colony Y. S/He will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and the regulating agency. The Child Care Teacher Assistant will display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties.

OCY is governed by a 62 member Board who are active, with committees that provide oversight to all aspects of our operations including a Fiscal Committee, a Program Committee which reviews program and quality compliance, as well as tracking progress on strategic planning goals.
