Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the procurement, organisation and maintenance of Science Room resources, materials and equipment.
  • Assist with stock-taking and ensure Science Rooms and equipment are clean, organised and well-maintained.
  • Prepare materials, apparatus and equipment for Science lessons and practical activities.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs of Science equipment where required.
  • Maintain and care for the school's hydroponics systems.
  • Assist teachers with Science-related programmes, activities and events.
  • Support the Science Enrich Corner and other Science Room-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a Science Room, Science laboratory or similar educational setting.
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Experience in gardening/hydroponics is an advantage.
  • Good organisational, time-management and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

Duration/Working hours:

2 years contract (Option to extend another year) Jan 2027 to Dec 2028

The Personnel shall be deployed during the following hours:

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., inclusive of a 30-

minute lunch break.

Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public

holidays.
