Job Location Washington Heights Early Childhood Center - New York, NY 10033 Position Type Full Time Salary Range $18.03 - $19.36 Hourly Job Shift Day

The Teacher Aide to assist teachers in such non-teaching duties as managing records, materials, and equipment; attending to the physical needs of children; and supervising students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under the supervision of the Teacher, manages student records, materials in the classroom and equipment.

Under the supervision of the Teacher, attends to the physical needs of students.

Assists the classroom team with classroom organization and clean up.

Supervises students when determined as needed and supervised by the teacher.

Performs other services that support the Teacher with teaching duties as determined by the Teacher .

Comply with regulatory requirements and school policy and procedures in all areas.

Maintain an appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team and department

members, parents, other staff, supervisors, administrators, and outside agencies. Demonstrate:

Open communication, flexibility and the ability to learn and utilize team building strategies

The ability to self-evaluate, to utilize supervision and problem solve

The ability to both offer and accept assistance to/from others.

Perform other duties assigned.
