Maths Teacher – Adult Skills Programmes (Salaried)

Permanent

Grade B - £28,598 - £33,699

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

The Maths department is looking to recruit 7 salaried teachers for academic year 26/27 to teach GCSE Maths and/or Functional Maths from Entry 2 to Level 2. As we continue our quality improvement journey, we aim to increase the proportion of salaried staff so that we reap the benefits of onsite non-teaching days and have the flexibility to deliver provision where learners need it.

Successful candidates will be able to

• Plan and deliver high quality learner-centred teaching, learning and assessment which meets learners’ needs, especially additional support needs and need for stretch and challenge
• Demonstrate a successful track record of impactful Maths delivery
• Demonstrate how you have successfully contributed to departmental quality improvement targets
• Demonstrate how you provide advice guidance and support to ensure that learners achieve their long-term goals
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and teaching materials
• Demonstrate your contribution to sharing and promoting good practice
• Contribute to internal quality assurance of accreditation
• Carry out initial assessment as part of Admissions in the months leading up to September
