• As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you work with students to create projects emulating significant artists and styles as well as instruct on essential art vocabulary, basic art history, and elements of art. You will provide direct instruction using an accelerated, back-to-basics curriculum including Spalding (reading & writing) and enVision Math as you:

• As a Gifted Student Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you instruct academically advanced students with challenging curriculum that expands their critical thinking, problem-solving, independent study, advanced communication, and strategic thinking skills. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Math Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you help students understand that mathematical problems have an absolute answer requiring precision, accuracy and fluency through a spiral curriculum reinforced by mathematical practices. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you help students develop and refine skills learned in elementary general music and expand their talents into band, orchestra, choir, musical theater, music exploration, piano and guitar programs. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Physical Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you develop student capabilities in five essential core fitness components of muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular strength and body composition as you share the importance of sportsmanship and staying active. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you enable students to construct and understand scientific concepts through investigation and analysis with use of laboratory equipment, student readings, and interactive technology. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Spanish Language Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you instruct students in Spanish and guide them through the development of fluency in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Social Studies Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you guide students through world and U.S. history and geography while they learn about responsible citizenship and America’s place in global history. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• As a Technology and STEM Teacher, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you develop student capabilities in coding, project- and problem-based learning, artificial intelligence, science and engineering design, and robotics. This role will facilitate design thinking, collaboration, and productive struggle while managing materials, technology, and ongoing student projects. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.

• Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.

• Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!

• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.

• Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.

• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.

• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.

• Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.

• Participate in training and staff meetings.

• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules and coordinating meetings as needed.

• Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.

• Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.

• Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required. Participate in events outside of normal hours.

• Other duties as assigned.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment in AZ only.

• The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

• A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.
