Are you an enthusiastic and committed teacher ready to begin or continue your teaching journey in a supportive and ambitious school community?

Are you looking for a school where you will be genuinely supported to grow, develop, and thrive as an Early Career Teacher?

If this opportunity speaks to you, we would be delighted to hear from you.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Peter’s Primary Academy for a class teacher to join our dedicated and ambitious team from September 2026. This role would be particularly well suited to an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin their career in a nurturing, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.

At St Peter’s, we are passionate about providing children with a rich, engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity, builds independence, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. High expectations and a strong culture of support ensure that every child is challenged, nurtured, and able to succeed within a caring and reflective community.

We know that the early years of teaching are some of the most important, and we are deeply committed to supporting and developing ECTs. Successful applicants will benefit from high-quality mentoring, additional release time, collaborative planning opportunities, and a genuinely supportive team who are committed to helping colleagues flourish professionally and personally.

Teachers at St Peter’s benefit from the following:

• Additional, non-contact time above and beyond any designated PPA/ECT time;
• Opportunities for joint PPA with colleagues from their phase;
• High levels of staff satisfaction and staff retention;
• Access to private health and wellbeing services;
• Considered marking and feedback policy created in collaboration with teachers;
• Wonderful parents who are keen to be involved;
• Exceptionally well-behaved children: “Pupils take pride in their school environment. Respectful behaviour is always on show and low-level disruption is not accepted.” OFSTED, November 2022.
The successful applicant will need to:

• Lead, inspire and motivate children and staff alike;
• Have excellent classroom practice and high expectations;
• Have a strong desire to improve their own practice further and contribute to wider school standards;
• Be willing to embrace, support and develop the Christian ethos of our school;
• Be a team player.
