Job Description

Who We Are:Teach Coalition is dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a quality Jewish education. Operating across seven states in the U.S., Teach Coalitionadvocatesforequitablegovernmentfundingandresourcesforyeshivasand Jewish day schools, making Jewish education accessible to all families.The NY Executive Director will be responsible for cultivating relationships and increasing the financial commitmentsofexistingTeachsupportersinthe four to six figure range,aswellas inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters.Aspartofagrowingcommunityengagementteam,the Executive Directorwill be supported by the state and national office. A successful Executive Director has a proven track record in sales, client relations, fundraising, or a similar field.Essential Functions:

  • Createandexecuteaplanaimedatincreasingcommunityengagementandgrowing Teach’s revenue through solicitations, donor cultivation and stewardship
  • Buildandsustainstrongrelationshipswithdonorsandinspirethemtoincrease their investment in our work
  • Identify,cultivate,andsolicitnewdonors
  • Meetquarterlyandannualfundraisinggoals
  • Identify,recruitanddeveloplayleadershipforleadershiproles
  • ProvideregularupdatesthatinspirepeopletobecomemoreinvolvedinTeach’s policy and advocacy work
  • Maintainaccurateandup-to-datemovesmanagementrecordsintheCRMsystem, including logging communications and meetings.
  • Engagecommunitymembersinactionalerts,voting,eventsandotheradvocacy activities
  • RepresentTeachatcommunityeventsandforums

Qualifications:

  • Live in New York State
  • Aminimumof5yearsofworkexperienceinsales/fundraisingorarelatedfieldwith a successful track record of achieving and exceeding goals
  • Abilitytopivotquicklytoaddressrapidlychangingsituations
  • Highlymotivatedself-starterwhocaninitiateandmaintaincontacts,relationships, projects, meetings and events
  • Aproblemsolver,abletovisualizeandarticulatesolutionsusingananalytical mindset
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently and complete multiple assignments withattention to detail in fast paced, rapidly changing environment

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is between $175,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience.
