Tea Blender – Food Manufacturing

Position Overview

This isn't your typical production job. We're looking for a detail-oriented Tea Blender to help create the blends behind finished tea products.

The Tea Blender is responsible for accurately preparing tea blends using established recipes while maintaining ingredient traceability, lot documentation, inventory organization, sanitation, and quality standards.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work but also has the attention to detail and math skills necessary to follow precise recipes and maintain accurate records.

What You'll Do

• Accurately prepare tea blends for tea bags, loose-leaf tea, iced tea, and private-label products.
• Read and interpret recipes and ingredient requirements.
• Work with teas, herbs, spices, flavors, and other ingredients.
• Understand and identify different ingredient grades and specifications.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and combine ingredients according to established recipes.
• Maintain lot-code and blending documentation for traceability.
• Maintain active and archived recipe records.
• Prepare samples for new product development and tasting.
• Maintain and organize work-in-progress ingredient inventory.
• Communicate ingredient needs and potential shortages to management.
• Support production teams with ingredient and order requirements.
• Follow established milling, sifting, blending, rework, sanitation, and ingredient-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, productive, and organized blending area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Strong basic math and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50–100 pounds during the shift.
• Comfortable working on your feet for the duration of the shift in a production environment that may be dusty.
• Ability to perform regular bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and material handling.
