About the organisation

He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been
supporting individuals and the community for 30 years. He Waka Tapu works to
increase the health and wellbeing of Whānau.

Te Aranga Health Clinic is a low-cost, whānau-focused
general practice that provides a wide range of general practice services to the
community.

Te Aranga Health will be temporarily situated at 52
Portsmouth street, Aranui. We will resume our position alongside He Waka
Tapu, once our purpose-built clinic is finalised.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced medical administration / receptionist
to join our team. The position is 40 hours, 8:45am – 5:15pm five days per week
at our Te Aranga Clinic.

This role will suit someone who brings a calm and
professional presence and takes pride in providing excellent service to
patients and visitors.

Te Aranga provides patient-centred care that addresses
health needs and promotes wellness while being supported by close-knit and
passionate staff.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in medical centre
  • Understanding of confidential / privacy
    protocols
  • Ability to work flexibly throughout the day
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under
    pressure
  • Experience with Medtech/Indici preferred; Computer
    literacy mandatory
  • Able to work with team and independently
  • Strong interpersonal communication that is both
    empathetic and professional
  • Active, empathetic listener with experience in
    de-escalation solution focussed
  • Reception, customer service, and / or
    administration experience
