We are currently looking for a TCS Engineering Technician 1 to join our team in Smyrna, TN.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and conducting vehicle/component level testing, maintaining testing equipment and testing areas, assisting engineers with unique testing needs and any other task as requested by management.

A Day in the Life:

  • Instrumenting vehicles and conducting component/system-level testing.
  • Assisting the engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and developing effective countermeasures.
  • Communicating accurately and professionally with technicians, engineers, and management teams.
  • Creating detailed technical documents to support test setup and operation.
  • Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met.
  • Creating accurate, detailed test reports for submission to test engineering.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Associate degree in an automotive-related discipline preferred (Will consider 4 years of Test Technician experience instead of an associate’s degree).
  • Experience with instrumentation and data collection.
  • Willing to work overtime and travel as needed; the candidate must be able to work overtime on some weekends and off-shift as needed.
  • Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, and proficient in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Must be self-motivated to learn, perform, and grow in a dynamic team environment
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills appropriate to cross cultural/cross-functional work environment
  • Must be willing to work overtime and be a team player
  • Must be able to self-manage deadlines and work ~20% OT as needed

  • Able to travel ~10% of the time
