Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. The maintenance technician in Eaton’s manufacturing plant in Aguascalientes will be responsible supporting facilities and equipment installation, maintenance, provides advanced troubleshooting, support the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair and installation of electronic and electronic controlled equipment in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
B. Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair work on plant equipment
C. Troubleshoots and repairs machine malfunctions and mechanical problems and electrical problems
D. Keeps work area clean and free of hazards – 5-S program
E. Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment
F. Completes special projects as required – including design and repair work on material handling systems and other mechanical devices
G. Designs and fabricates parts to improve machine operation
H. Completes projects as directed (machine moves, modifications, installations, material handling, remodeling, work area, etc.)
I. Programs basic electronic control equipment.
J. Recommends changes for existing production equipment to improve product quality, equipment reliability and equipment productivity.
K. Documents electrical modifications to machine tools on associated electrical drawings.
L. Recommends modifications of electronic control equipment
M. Help train machine operators on operation of new control systems
N. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
O. Promotes the company’s vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
P. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
A. Knowledge of blueprint and process sheet reading
B. Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
C. Proficient in pneumatic and hydraulic systems
D. Knowledge of programmable logic controls
E. Proficient in plumbing systems
F. Knowledge of CNC Machines
G. Welding skills
Preferred Qualifications:
A. +3yrs Maintenance and/or electrical experience
B. Associates degree in related field
C. Previous work experience in Tool and Die
D. Understands Statistical Process Control
E. Understanding of electronic circuitry
F. Working knowledge of heat treating and metallurgical principles Subordinates
G. Working knowledge of steel types and ability to determine which are best in different plant applications
H. Demonstrated understanding of metal cutting, inserts, feeds, speeds, etc.
