This position is a member of our Air Quality Division
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Supervise team functions, including interviewing, hiring, and developing staff, performance management, and workflow control.
Direct quality assurance reviews, reporting of state emissions inventory (EI) data, and the development of approved data collection methodologies. Develops and presents EI data and other air emissions-related information to the regulated community, agency staff, and the general public.
Lead development of emissions inventory data for use in state implementation planning and other air quality planning activities.
Participate in planning, developing, and monitoring section goals, objectives, budget, and expenditures.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supervising a unit or team which also includes hiring.
Experience assessing emissions inventory data or other air emissions-related data
Experience working with state implementation plans or air regulations
Experience in Grants/contract (technical projects) management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Program Management Specialist I state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Program Management Specialist I series.
Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Air Quality Division.
